So what has this got to do with pickup? Well many guys when interacting with women speak very quietly and mumble but due to the reasons outlined above are not aware of it. When telling them this they often don't believe it as in their own head they sound loud and clear.
It may not seem important but speaking loudly and clearly makes a huge difference in your ability to get attractive women. If you are quiet and not clear you immediately come across as weak and often make yourself out to be creepy. I can't exaggerate enough how important this is. A lot of guys who do speak at a normal volume will also lower their volume when speaking to attractive women without realizing it, again giving the same creepy/weak vibe. Once this problem is fixed however the change in reaction from women is dramatic and really quite amazing.
So how do you fix the problem?
First start speaking louder. This seems obvious and easy to do but it really isn't. If you speak too quietly speaking at a normal level will at first feel like your shouting at someone. This is perfectly normal it should feel slightly uncomfortable at first but your ears will soon adjust.
It is important that you are not projecting your voice too much from the lungs this can make you feel breathless and does give the impression of shouting; rather the power behind your voice should come from your diaphragm. To learn to do this make a low grunting sound while putting your hand on the upper part of your belly if done right your belly should push your hand out. Once you have found this point practice talking loudly making sure the power comes from this area where your hand is, if your hand is not being sharply pushed out then your not doing it right.
Another problem that many guys have is that they tend to mumble. This is quite simple to deal with just try speaking slightly slower and ever so slightly over-exaggerating the pronunciation of your words. A brilliant exercise to get rid of your mumbling and make yourself clear is to get a drinking straw and place the tip on your tongue and hold it in place with your teeth. Next pronounce common tongue twisters such as 'The rain in Spain stays mainly on the plane' over a few times. By doing this exercise regularly over time you should soon begin to speak more clearly.
Few people realize that speaking clearly can be very seductive. It gives the sense of power and confidence even when done quietly such as when you're whispering and also allows you to be understood effectively when purposely being quiet.
So how do you know that you're speaking to quietly or not clearly enough? Firstly if you have to repeat yourself a lot especially when you initially begin talking to women then this is a big sign. Secondly it's good to get a friend or wingman to observe you when talking to women to give you a more objective view on how you're communicating. Finally simply asking women whether you're too quite or mumble is probably the most effective way of finding out.
When I first starting to go out regularly and meet women, they would often react badly to me or brush me off, someone pointed out that I was too quiet and mumbled so I made a concentrated effort to improve this. The change this has had on me was huge, women who would have ignored me before would instantly seem interested in me as my new voice now commanded attention instead of shrinking away.
